The University of Baguio has proudly earned a place among Asia’s leading higher education institutions after securing a position in the 191–200 band of the AppliedHE Private University Ranking: ALL ASIA 2026. AppliedHE’s student-centered approach makes this recognition even more meaningful. Its evaluation framework draws directly from the direct experiences of students and alumni, focusing on teaching and learning, employability, institutional reputation, research quality, community engagement, and internationalization. UB’s strong performance across these areas reflects its commitment to helping students secure decent and sustainable career opportunities (SDG 8), while ensuring that learning leads to meaningful participation in society. The university’s active involvement in outreach programs, along with research initiatives that directly respond to local and regional needs, demonstrates how education is intertwined with community well-being (SDG 3) and continued social progress.
Since its beginnings in 1948 as Baguio Tech, the University of Baguio has grown into a comprehensive institution distinguished by its diverse student body enrolled across a wide array of academic programs.
