Abstract

The awareness to the ecological concerns of the present calls for a rational understanding of the fact that human development should always be founded on our responsibility to be stewards of this earth. To put this into perspective, this article discusses the role of reason in the quest for truth which highlights the prominence of metaphysics over the limitations of empirical science. The article argues that the rationality of reason in its quest for truth leads to ecological conversion that makes the rational human being truly a steward of his or her environment.
