ABSTRACT

Just as a ship cannot have a smooth sail without a compass, an institution cannot succeed without its Vision, Mission, and Objectives. Such is vital as it does not only serve as an institution’s destination but also an assessment tool to determine the level of attainment of the target MO. The number one intention of this study was to examine the level of awareness, participation in the MO revision process, and acceptance of the UBHS stakeholders of the School’s Mission and Objectives, along with determining the stakeholders’ perspectives on how they can contribute to its attainment. The correlation of the identified variables was also included in the study. The quantitative research design and descriptive-correlational survey method of research were applied with a survey questionnaire as the primary data gathering instrument and employed SPSS v 29.0 for statistical analysis. It analyzed data from 475 respondents. The study found that the level of awareness and acceptance of the MO by the UBHS stakeholders are Very High, with mean ratings of 3.5782 and 3.5626, respectively. This result could be attributed to the great efforts exerted by the school in displaying the MO in areas accessible to the public and including it in the syllabus, brochure, and orientation notes. Meanwhile, the level of participation in the revision process had a Low outcome, with a mean rating of 2.061. The study’s results also showed a correlation between awareness of the MO and participation in the revision process, awareness and acceptance of the MO, and participation in the revision process and acceptance of the MO. Thus, the study showed that the UBHS stakeholders were aware and accepting of the school’s MO and that with improved inclusion strategies in the revision process, the stakeholders will likely be more engaged in the endeavor.
