UB CARES represents the heart of the University of Baguio in social involvement; it focused on individual empowerment for social involvement especially the impoverished and indigenous people; geared towards the development of communities in need; implemented by the RDC-ECOS office through the different schools, departments, and offices; and allowed stakeholders to support, participate, and be involved voluntarily.

UB C.A.R.E.S. is a sustainable program to continually uplift and address the needs of the communities, especially the indigenous population, not only through its graduates but also through the active efforts of the institution in aligning its activities with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

ECOS upholds the exemplar delivery of immediate, responsive and sustainable outreach and extension programs to address societal concerns.

ECOS Objectives

ECOS, through innovative services and programs, advocates a well-rounded volunteer who:
1. cares and portrays goodwill and compassion for the underprivileged;
2. acts with pure intentions in extending assistance to the populace;
3. renews hope through informal education, skills training and human advancement;
4. engages zealously in the conduct of relevant community researches;
5. transforms individuals to become pillars of continuing and sustainable development; and
6. displays beneficial relationships rooted in trust and interdependence.
