"commitment to student welfare through its active participation in the Free Meals for Youth Program"
The University of Baguio (UB), in partnership with the City Government of Baguio, continues to advance its commitment to student welfare through its active participation in the Free Meals for Youth Program, implemented under City Ordinance No. 652, series of 2025. The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) also commended UB for being the first higher education institution to fully comply with the requirements of the program. In recognition of this, the CSWDO increased the University’s allocation from 30 to 35 student beneficiaries. As of the latest update, 31 UB students have been identified as potential beneficiaries of the program. Of these, 21 students have completed the necessary requirements and have been endorsed to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) for final evaluation, while the remaining students are in the process of complying.
Through its collaboration with NaktAyNay, UBanga, and Avenue, UB continues to uphold its dedication to student well-being and community partnership, advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
