ABSTRACT

“LAWALAWA” is a wheel-less mobot (mobile robot) that was designed to autonomously drive a given track. The basic objective of designing LAWALAWA is for it to have maximum speed with optimized power consumption. LAWALAWA consists of synchronous hierarchy of intelligent systems, mechanical features and electronic design. The heart of the intelligent system was the Zilog’s Z8 M Encore Microcontroller. The mechanical characteristic of the design involved a section of motors and gears synchronized to give the mobot its action.
