The Search for Best Student Research is a yearly activity conducted during the second semester of the academic year. An avenue for all undergraduate schools and graduate programs through an oral presentation to showcase their research study and its findings on various topics —also an opportunity to disseminate the student’s researches from the different schools of the University of Baguio. The event was attended by around 67 participants mostly finalist in the different categories.
The activity was conducted online in parallel sessions. There were four categories, which are graduate school, health, and social, and applied research category. Since these categories were simultaneously monitored and assisted by the assigned moderators and facilitators, the event finished at around 11:30 am. Thus simultaneously conducting each breakout session helps the presenters and organizers be time efficient and productive. Each presenters were given 15 mins to discuss and present their studies to the audience and judges. Each Judge was given time to ask questions from each presenters. All break out session participants went back in the main room. Right after the last presenter, judges for each category deliberated and ratings were consolidated. RDC congratulated all the participants and awarded the top 3 for each category.
The following top 3 researches per category in the oral presentation was evaluated by the judges from the university internal panelists composed of 1 Research Ethics Committee Member (REC), 1 Institutional Research Committee Member (IRC) and 1 external panelist from the partner schools such UC, SLU, Easter College, & Kings College of the Philippines.
