Series II of “A Call for Planters” (Preserving Life through Action, Nurturing Trees to Engage, Restore, and Sustain) symbolizes the University of Baguio’s enduring dedication to sustainability and ecological resilience. This initiative conveys continuity, vitality, and strength—qualities embodied by trees that remain steadfast across seasons and challenges. It underscores the lasting impact of institutional actions, reminding us that our efforts are not confined to the present but are designed to leave behind thriving ecosystems for future generations. This program is undertaken under the umbrella of Project GROOM ME, UB’s flagship environmental initiative that integrates Greening, Optimizing, Orchestrating, and Magnifying Mother Earth. Through this framework, UB ensures that sustainability is not a stand‑alone effort but a multidimensional program combining ecological restoration, preventive action, and community participation. Episode 1: Updates from Series I
Activity: A call to reflect on and share the progress, lessons, and outcomes from Season I of A Call for Planters. This episode highlights continuity, ensuring that past efforts are acknowledged and built upon as the foundation for future initiatives.

Episode 2: Seed Propagation
Focused on replenishing forest cover through the cultivation of Benguet pine (Pinus kesiya), this episode emphasizes ecological renewal. These trees are vital to the Cordillera ecosystem, serving as carbon sinks, stabilizing soil, and protecting watersheds. Through propagation, the initiative directly supports Climate Action (SDG 13), Life on Land (SDG 15), and Sustainable Communities (SDG 11).
