The R&DC Announces the Winners of the 2019 Search for Best Student Research

The Research and Development Center congratulates the winners of the 2019 Search for the Best Student Research. Last September 19, 2019 at the Centennial Hall and the AVR, the best student researchers were awarded based on the evaluation of the invited judges who ranked the research works from first to third place. The judges were composed of representatives from UB’s Research Ethics Committee, Institutional Review Committee, and external evaluators. The School Research Anchorpersons acted as moderators in the category-based competitions.

Graduate School Theses or Dissertations

1st Place. Modeling the Factors Affecting the Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge among Teachers of Teacher Education Institutions in Baguio and Benguet by Victor V. Hafalla Jr.

2nd Place.  Fusion Cuisine in Central Bontoc Mountain Province by Sweet Eulynette M. Chumawar

3rd Place. The Incident Command System (ICS) in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) by Mike Kenneth A. Piluden

The qualified entries from the first phase of judging underwent a second phase review conducted by Dr. Isagani Paddit, Mr. Ejercito Balay-odao, Mr. Claven Erodias, and Dr. Marilou Saong.

The event marks the sixth year of the R&DC’s annual Search for Best Student Research. Entries to the search will be published in Catalyst, a multidisciplinary journal that carries contributions from student researchers.
