ABSTRACT

This descriptive-survey assessed the new Social Orientation Program of the College of Information and Communications Technology implemented during the first semester of SY 2007–2008. Findings showed that the 17-hour Social Orientation Program and its topics were perceived by the ICT students as very relevant, particularly on the topic of good manners. It was also found out that there was a higher passing percentage of those who enrolled in the new Social Orientation Program as compared to the previous program. The facilitators were also perceived by the students as very effective in handling the course and were highly recommended to facilitate subsequent Social Orientation courses in their college.
