Effectiveness of the Implementation of the Community Outreach Program of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy

ABSTRACT

This study assessed the community outreach program of the University of Baguio College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) in Purok 7, San Luis Extension, Irisan, Baguio City. It determined the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the community outreach program of students in the College along the areas of Christian Values, Youth Empowerment, Health Services, Safety, Environment, Recreation, Education, Entrepreneurship, and Social Welfare. Information was gathered through a questionnaire-checklist and interview. There were 200 respondents of the study, 100 each from the third and fourth year levels and have finished their NSTP course. Generally, the activities of the outreach program were implemented effectively, especially on Education, Recreation, and Youth Empowerment. The respondents find Sports Tournament and Dance Contest to be implemented very effectively. The proposed action plan should be implemented to address these problems encountered to guarantee effective implementation of all outreach activities.
