14th University Research Colloquium

The 14th University Virtual Research Colloquium was held last April 23, 2022, via Zoom meeting. There were 276 attendees of the event composed of faculty members, non-teaching employees, and students.

The colloquium provided an avenue of 9 research presentations which composes of 7 collaborative research in participation of UB Science High (UBSHS), School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA), and School of Dentistry (SOD) that were divided into two simultaneous parallel conferences.

The event started with the program preliminary impeccably, then Ms. Rhoda Carbonel, faculty member of STELA, gave a warm welcoming remark and proceeded with the main event of the presentations. The research outputs are used in the policy making, action plans and utilization of intended recipients for continuous improvement and reference. The research colloquium is also part of UB’s hard work in encouraging and promoting the culture of research as it continuously upskill the researchers.

The evaluation on the activity is rated positively and can be reflected in the verbatim of the respondents in their diverse learning takeaways regarding the different topic that were presented. The event serves as a motivation to the participants as they can echo further research studies.
