ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to identify the choice of music of students of the University of Baguio, its degree of influence, and its perceived effects on them. From the data gathered and interpreted, the following are the salient findings of the study: a) religious music is the most preferred type of music while rap is least preferred; b) the community factor has the greatest influence on the choice of music of the students; and c) music greatly affects the personal and academic life of the students.
