ABSTRACT
A major purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of student, administrative, teacher, family, and peer factors vis-à-vis academic failure among UB LEA students. A questionnaire-checklist was used to gather data on factors related to failures among UB LEA students. A total of 458 enrolled LEA students, with at least one failed subject, during the first semester of SY 2006-2007 participated in the study. Findings reveal that teacher, administrative, and student factors often influence the failure in subjects of the LEA students. Family and peers rarely influence occurrence of subject failures among students. The formulated action plan is strongly recommended for adoption and implementation.
